Jane’s 30-year career has touched every corner of the home design industry.
Residential and commercial. Interior design firms and architectural practices. Australia, London, New Zealand, and Dubai. Over her three decades in the field, Jane has seen and done it all. And along the way, she noticed something interesting…
Interiors may get all the attention, but a home’s exterior has just as much impact on the way people live. But until recently, updating a home’s façade hasn’t been a straightforward job.
“Historically, homeowners would either start from scratch with an architect or they’d splash up a fresh paint colour, hoping it would change things. There was no middle ground.”
So Jane created one. She started developing Façade Design Plans for homeowners who wanted to invest in transforming their existing façades without tearing it all down.
She was onto something and officially launched The Façade Design Co. (formerly Hotspace Consultants) in 2007. Since then, she’s designed over 350+ residential façades across Australia alone.
Throughout it all, she’s maintained her commitment to quality, innovation, and collaboration. She’s still the lead designer on every single project — and she loves it.
